Praveen Togadia in Trouble over “Hate Speech”
TNI Bureau: Senior Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) leader Praveen Togadia landed in a fresh trouble over hate speech against Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) leader Akbaruddin Owaisi and Muslim community.
Togadia followed tit-for-tat method to take on MIM leader Owaisi, who is currently lodged in jail for delivering hate speech against Hindu community at a rally. The VHP leader’s speech came in response to Owaisi’s remarks against Hindu.
Togadia slammed the Muslim community on January 22 at Bhokar in Nanded district of Maharashtra, 25 km from the Andhra Pradesh border and 80 km from Nirmal in Adilabad district where Owaisi had delivered hate speech in December for which he was arrested under pressure.
Togadia could be the target of Muslim community as his words were quite derogatory. Addressing a rally, he said, “Remember Nellie in Assam, where the police was removed. Over 3000 people died, not one of them was a Hindu. Remember Bhagalpur, where the police was removed, so many people died that it was difficult to count, not one of them was a Hindu. Dead bodies flew into the sea. Remember Meerut, Moradabad, and Gujarat”.
The language he used just like Owaisi challenging the Muslim community to stay away from any riot. It could be noticed that both Owaisi and Togadia are students from the same school of thought.
However, Togadia said that he had done nothing wrong by delivering hate speech against a particular community. He said that he did not name any particular community or threatened violence.
An FIR is likely to be filed against Togadia as someone from Muslim community sought legal action against him.
