TNI Bureau: BJD President and Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has said that his government would approve the resolution passed by BJD’s Mayurbhanj District Committee, recommending the renaming of North Odisha University as Sri Ramchandra Bhanj Deo University.

Late Maharaja Sri Ramchandra Bhanj Deo had made immense contribution to the growth and development of erstwhile Mayurbhanj State. He also made significant contribution to the efforts making Odisha a separate state although he died much before that dream became a reality.
During his tenure, primary schools saw manifold rise in the Mayurbhanj State. He always emphasised on education, agriculture, cultural growth and language. His 150th Birth Anniversary was observed on 17 December 2020.
