Naveen gives stress on Transparency & Anti-Corruption

TNI Bureau:  The newly constituted Biju Janata Dal’s first State Council meeting was held today at the party’s headquarters under the chairmanship of party president Naveen Patnaik.

Giving more stress on transparency & anti-corruption, the CM asked public servants including panchayat representatives, MLAs, MPs & Ministers to submit property statement every year in public domain. Those statements will be sent to the Lokayukta.

Addressing the State Council Meeting party Supremo Naveen Patnaik today sought valuable suggestions from each council member for strengthening of the party and good governance.

While speaking on the occasion he said, “Fight against corruption will help us in our fight against all ills of society. May it be inequality, may it be poverty, may it be injustice, in fact, all maladies”.

Naveen further stated that Odisha is one of the few States in the Country to hae a powerful Lokoyukta. Strong action taken against corrupt officials even if they held important positions.

“I am happy to see the recommendation for renaming of North Odisha University as Sriram Chandra Bhanja Deo University. Our Government will approve the suggestion. I want the district committees to be proactive. The Government and the party will take your suggestions seriously”, Naveen added.

BJD party Supremo also suggested all the Ministers to visit and interact with district functionaries and act on their constructive suggestions.
