Late Aditya Romeo Dev – World’s Smallest Bodybuilder
TNI Bureau: Aditya Romeo Dev from Punjab was world’s smallest bodybuilder who died after a brain aneurysm rupture recently on 13th September 2012 at the age of 23. His height was 2 feet 9 inches and body weight was just 9 kg.
He was nominated (not declared) as the world’s smallest bodybuilder by the Guinness book of World records in 2006 and was enlisted in the Limca Book of Records in 2007.
Aditya was born on1 November 1988 to father Anil Dev and mother Rakesh Bala at Phagwara in Punjab. He was a dwarf body builder, entertainer and dancer. It was his miniature size which actually made him famous to appear in various TV programmes to demonstrate his dancing abilities.
Romeo could work out with made 2 kg weight despite his 9 kg bodyweight. Size of the head of Aditya was 38 cm and his chest was 51 cm. He was being trained by one, Ranjeet Pal.
Dev was diagnosed with aneurysms in 2008. However, on 13th September, He was rushed to the hospital in Jalandhar as he suddenly fell unconscious the previous night. But before that he was absolutely fine. Doctors said the nerve supplying blood to his brain had ruptured, causing his death. Aditya might not live long in lieu of his stature, his mother was reportedly intimated.
