Kejriwal heads to Khurshid’s Constituency for Protest
TNI Bureau: India Against Corruption (IAC) activist Arvind Kejriwal is heading towards Farrukhabad, the constituency of External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid (former Union Law Minister), to hold a rally against him. Khurshid is accused of siphoning off lakhs of rupees meant for the differently abled, from his Trust.
The IAC activist-turned-politician had been demanding resignation of Khurshid from Law Ministry. However, he was given to External Affairs portfolio in the recent cabinet reshuffle in the UPA government.
However, the IAC activists and Kejriwal have decided to take on the minister in his own constituency where they will reveal the corruption charges against him before his voters.
The protest could turn violent as the supporters of Khurshid would try their best to create ruckus or blockades along the way to Farrukhabad so that Kejriwal would not be able to reach the protest site. They are reportedly planning to wave black flags demonstration against the IAC.
Earlier, Khurshid had threatened Kejriwal over his Farrukhabad visit, saying he will replace the ink with blood. He had said, “Let him come to Farrukhabad, but how will he go back”.
