Film Director Rituparno Ghosh dies at 49
Noted film director Rituparno Ghosh, who won 12 national and many international awards in his illustrious career, died at the age of 49. Rituparno suffered a cardiac arrest, which led to his demise.
Rituparno Ghosh was suffering from pancreatitis. He breathed his last at 7:30 AM today at his Kolkata residence. The film industry has plunged into deep grief and sadness at his demise.
Rituparno Ghosh had shot into fame with ‘Hirer Angti’ in 1994 and ‘Unishe April’ in 1995. His other acclaimed films include ‘Dahan’, ‘Asukh’, ‘Chokher Bali’, ‘Raincoat’, ‘The Last Lear’, ‘Bariwali’, ‘Antarmahal’ and ‘Noukadubi’.
