TNI Bureau: Odisha has reported the 4th Coronavirus positive case today, as a 29-year-male from Bhadrak district, has tested positive for COVID-19. He has a travel history to Dubai, tweeted Odisha Health Department.
Health Secretary Nikunj Dhal spoke to Collector Bhadrak and asked him to shift the patient to SCB Medical College &i Hospital and isolate the close contacts and get them tested and trace all contacts as soon as possible. MD, NHM is monitoring the follow up action.
“The fourth COVID patient did not have any symptoms. Hence people with travel history but no symptoms should not be complacent. They must follow home quarantine for two weeks and then self monitor their health condition for another two weeks,” tweets the Health Department.
The Health Department further informed that 137 samples were tested today, taking the total number to 610 till date. 4 samples have been positive, while remaining were negative.
Out of 137 samples today, 119 were tested at RMRC (all negative), 15 at AIIMS (1 positive) and 3 at SCB (all negative).
The first three Corona Positive cases in Odisha were reported from Bhubaneswar. They tested positive on March 15th, 19th and 26th. The 4th case is the first outside Bhubaneswar.
