Annie Princee – From Jeypore to Miss Bangalore
TNI Bureau: “We, the girls never gave up. We believe in conquering the world. And, this is what my lovely sister Annie Princee has started doing with the ‘Miss Bangalore’ title. This is just a beginning. She is here to stay,” said Amrita alias Amy, elder sister of Annie Princee Nag, who acts as a friend, philosopher and guide to Annie.
Annie Princee Nag, the 22-year-old sizzling beauty from Jeypore in Koraput district, bewitched the crowd, when she won the ‘Miss Bangalore’ title at a Fashion Show organised by Infant School Of Fashion/Glam Hunt on September 8, 2012. People in Koraput district and remaining parts of Odisha celebrated her victory with much pride and enthusiasm.
We have tracked down Annie’s journey from Jeypore to Bangalore and covered whatever details we could. We thank Amrita Pritam Nag, the real person behind Annie’s success for helping us in getting the exclusive interview.
TNI: Hi Annie, we congratulate you on this great achievement. You have made Jeypore and Odisha proud.
Annie: Thanks a ton. It was a definitely a great thing happened. The victory means a lot to me. I am really glad to fulfill the aspirations of my family and the people of my district and state.
TNI: Tell us something about your education.
Annie: Well, I attended Modern English School in Jeypore till my 10th. I completed 10+2 from VD College in Jeypore and now pursuing Bachelors in Journalism and Psychology at Oxford College, Bangalore. I came to Bangalore, as my sister has been staying here.
TNI: What about your family?
Annie: My father Mr. Bichitra Ranjan Nag is an ASI in Police, while my mother Mrs Swarna Prabha is a Teacher at a School in Deoghati, Jeypore. My sister Amrita Nag is working as a Marketing Head in an IT Company in Bangalore.
TNI: What has been your experience with your family members?
Annie: Being the youngest in the family, I have been pampered and loved by all. I am quite friendly, talkative and jolly. I always made good friends throughout my life. I have very good friends in Jeypore and Bangalore.
TNI: What are the other activities that fascinated you?
Annie: I used to take part in various dance programmes organised by my school, college and then other non-profitable organisations in Koraput district. I am very energetic and have strong inclination towards acting, dance and fashion.
TNI: What are your Hobbies?
Annie: Dancing, Singing, Cooking, Painting, Photograpphy and Knitting.
TNI: Your Favourite Actor and Actress?
Annie: King Khan, Shah Rukh Khan is my favourite actor. Rekha and Sushmita Sen are my favourite actresses. But the list does not stop here. 🙂
TNI: Who is your Role Model in Bollywood?
Annie: Obviously, Sushmita Sen. I admire Sushmita because of her confidence, the attitude she carries and the way she face the world in her intellectual beauty.
TNI: Who is role model in Fashion/Glamour Industry?
Annie: Carol Gracias
TNI: How did you feel after winning ‘Miss Bangalore’ title?
Annie: Winning Miss Bangalore is definitely a great platform for me to nurture myself in glamour industry, but this is not the end, it’s just a beginning.
TNI: Any plans to take the Bollywood plunge?
Annie: I have already got many offers for acting in movies from Kannada and Odia producers. I would like to make my career in Fashion world and Acting. I am planning to move to Mumbai in the next few months.
TNI: How do you describe Annie Princee Nag in a few lines?
Annie: Annie has a never say die attitude. She is self sufficient and motivated enough to pursue her dreams with sheer determination and confidence. She dreams higher and will try till her wishes and aspirations come true. Annie wants to see the World at her Feet.
