TNI Bureau: Mumtaz, Bollywood’s yesteryear actress pours her heart out on the eve of her 65th birthday yesterday. The heartthrob of Indian cinema in the sixties and seventies Mumtaz revealed that despite all wealth, comfort, family and friends, she leads a lonely life.
Mumtaz is quiet happy with her life except one complain that she has started feeling lonely a bit. “After I got married, my husband has given me lots of comforts. I enjoy the life of affluence. But I am a bit lonely,” she said.
When quizzed about the reason of her seclusion despite all comforts, the actor calmly quips, “My husband is traveling constantly. My children have grown up. My elder daughter Natasha is married to Fardeen Khan and lives in Mumbai. My younger daughter Tania is learning our family business from her father, so she travels a lot. What can I do? I can’t follow them around the world, can I?”

Mumtaz also said that she does not socialize much and rarely drink. She also retorted about her discontentment towards night life. She is comfortable with lunch party with friends and loves to watch educational and news channels on television.
Mumtaz is married to entrepreneur Mayur Madhvani. After marriage she left India at the age of 26. These days she is leaving in London.
Mumtaz was one of the prominent actresses and starred in hit films like Khilona, Tere Mere Sapne, Aaina, Aap Ki Kasam, Jheel Ke Us Paar and many more. She got her first filmfare award for ‘Khilona’.
