Actor Sadashiv Amrapurkar passes away
Bollywood Actor Sadashiv Amrapurkar, who was being treated for lung infection at a hospital in Mumbai, passed away this morning. The 64-year-old actor was hospitalised about two weeks ago for lung infection and was kept in the Intensive Care Unit.
His last rites, it is expected, will be performed in his native place in Ahmednagar district tomorrow.
Amrapurkar had won two Filmfare awards. In 1984, he won the award for the best supporting actor for “Ardh Satya” and in 1991, he bagged best actor in negative role for his portrayal of a ruthless eunuch in “Sadak”.
His other works include “Aankhen”, “Ishq”, “Coolie No. 1” and “Gupt: The Hidden Truth”.
He would be remembered for playing villain-roles and appreciated for his cameos as well as comedy roles in Bollywood and many regional films.
