70 Killed in Suicide Blasts at Peshawar Church
At least 70 people lost their lives when two suicide bombers attacked a Church in Pakistan’s Peshawar soon after the Sunday Mass. Over 50 people were injured in the attack. Over 300 people were present inside the Church when the blasts took place.
The terrorists struck the 130-year-old historic white-stone All Saints Church in the north-western city of Peshawar. They fired at the people and then blew themselves up.
The blasts were very powerful by nature. Traces of human blood and flesh can be found anywhere, giving a horrific picture. Christians account for 4% of Pakistan 180 million population. They have been at the receiving end in the bitter fight between the Shias and Sunnis.
