200 Killed in Fresh Massacre in Syria

TNI Bureau: Opposition activists of Syria have claimed that at least 200 people have been massacred in the central Hama province on Thursday. A report says that first the village was attacked with Helicopter gunships and tanks and later pro-government militia carried out execution-style killings there.

This fresh atrocity emerged on Thursday night in the village of Tremseh. The Revolution Leadership Council of Hama, reported about the killing.

It was reportedly the worst killing since the uprisings against the ruling government began more than a year ago.

Nawaf Fares, Syria’s former ambassador to Iraq criticized the Bashar Assad government and announced his defection tagging the Bashar govt. as criminals.

“There is no road map ever with Bashar Assad, because any plan, any statement that is agreed on internationally he delays on and ignores. There is no way that he can be pushed from power without force, and the Syrian people realize this.” Fares told Al Jazeera TV.

In spite of the violent uprising that began in March 2011, the Bashar regime has been tightly protected driven by a combination of fear and loyalty. More than 17 thousand people have been killed since the uprising – the activists have also claimed.
