West Indies beat Pakistan in 2nd ODI
West Indies bounced back strongly to beat Pakistan by 37 runs in the second ODI in Guyana and square the five-match series 1-1 with three matches to go. Pakistan had won the first ODI on the same ground two days ago.
Pakistan won the toss and elected to bowl first. West Indies posted 232/8 in 50 overs. Johnson Charles (31), Darren Bravo (54), Marlon Samuels (21), Dwayne Bravo (43) and Kieron Pollard (30) were the top scorers. Saeed Ajmal and Shahid Afridi took two wickets each.
Chasing a victory target of 233, Pakistan bowled out for 195 in 47.5 overs and lost the match by 37 runs. Nasir Jamshed (54), Hafeez (20)and Umar Akmal (50) contributed their bit. For West Indies, Sunil Narine took four wickets, while Dwayne Bravo took two wickets. Narine was declared ‘Man of the Match’.
