Sriram Panda receives Jayadev Award
TNI Bureau: Putting all speculations into rest, veteran film actor Sriram Panda aka Swamy Nitya Chaitanya received the ‘Jayadev Award’ given at the 23rd State Film Awards. According to source, although Sriram was reluctant initially, his friend veteran actor Prashant Nanda persuaded him to receive the prestigious award.
Sriram Panda, who now resides in Balangir, received the award from Governor MC Bhandare and waved at his fans, who cheered him, while the music of ‘Jajabar’ was being played at the glittering function held at Rabindra Mandap in Bhubaneswar yesterday.
Siddhant Mohapatra received the ‘Best Actor’ award for “Eka Eka”, while Archita Sahu received the ‘Best Actress’ award for “Chocolate”. Prashant Nanda got the ‘Best Director’ award for “Thukul”.
