Samsung smart-watch arrives in India
Samsung on Tuesday launched Gear S 3G-enabled smart-watch in India. The Gear S has been priced at Rs. 29,500 (MRP) and expected to sell at Rs 29,000, which comprises over 1,000 apps.
Samsung Gear S designed with an elegant curved Super AMOLED display for a comfortable fit. It’s
customizable screen clock faces and changeable straps helps to express one’s own style. Besides,
user interface allows access to relevant information and notification at ease.
One swipe on the device will get you to apps and you can do almost everything you would with a smartphone. In fact, the Gear S has inbuilt 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity. The Gear S will be able to de-hyphenate its existence from the Galaxy devices. It will be able to function as a full fledged phone in the process.
Samsung has included its own S Health app, apart from Nike+ Running, to help users track their health statistics. Also on board is turn-by-turn pedestrian navigation provided via Here Maps, a 24-hour news service from the Financial Times and many more features.
The device will be available in Black and White colour variants.
