Rajinikanth appeals Muslims for release of ‘Vishwaroopam’
TNI Bureau: Legendary actor Rajinikanth appealed to Muslim groups, which are protesting against Kamal Haasan’s latest film, to allow Haasan to release his film ‘Vishwaroopam’ in the theatres in Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Bangalore.
Rajinikanth asked the Muslim community members to discuss the issue with Haasan and allow him to release the film without affecting the storyline.
“Kamal is no ordinary artiste but an extraordinary one who can take Tamil cinema to new levels,” Rajini said.
Haasan said that Muslim brothers have misunderstood him. He clarified that the Muslim community has not been portrayed in a poor light. However, the screening has been banned in Hyderabad after the morning show. Police said that it would not been screened in communally sensitive areas for today on Milad-un-Nabi festival.
