Powerful Quake hits Guatemala, 48 Killed
TNI Bureau: A powerful earthquake, measuring 7.4 on the Richter Scale, hit Guatemala, killing at least 48 people and injuring hundreds. The death toll may go up, as many people are either missing or trapped under the rubbles.
At least 21 out of 22 states in Guatemala have reported damage and destruction. The tremors were also felt in Mexico City, which is 965 km from northwest Guatemala. San Marcos and Quetzaltenango provinces are worst hit.
Rescue operations has been going on a full swing. Further details are awaited.
