KBC to be ended on Republic Day, Big B gets Emotional
TNI Bureau: The sixth season of the popular quiz show Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) will come to an end very soon. Only two episodes were left for this season. Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who has been associated with the show as the host since 2000, is feeling sad.
Big B expressed his feelings on Facebook. “The season endeth here of KBC! A sadness prevails and there is a feeling of great remorse…,” he posted on Sunday.
“A feeling that cannot be described in words… it is the audience that comes so religiously and stays so calm and disciplined… thank you all … I hope I can be back with you soon… love to all,” he wrote.
The show will end on the Republic Day on January 26. It was not only a quiz show, but it was connecting Big B with people of India. His down to earth attitude, friendly personality and simplicity helped the show to take it to the great height. His pleasing personality motivated the producer to sign him again and again as the host of the KBC.
The 70-year-old star hosted all the seasons of the show except the third, which was hosted by Bollywood’s Baadshah Shahrukh Khan in 2007. However, he failed to bring charm to the show.
The sixth season was aired on September 7 last year. It witnessed many contestants participated on the show and won prizes. It was the historic moment for the show when Sunmeet Kaur Sawhney won the jackpot of Rs 5 crore giving all the answers perfectly on the hot seat. She became the first woman to bag the big prize. Another contestant Manoj Kumar Raina had won Rs 1 crore during the show.
