High Alert in Puri after Hyderabad Blasts

Puri: Authorities issued high alert in Puri following serial blasts in Hyderabad on Thursday evening that claimed 15 lives. The security arrangements have been made at Lord Jagannath temple premises to avoid terror attack.

More security forces have been deployed at the entrance gate of the temple. The police have been ordered to be alert and keep vigil on the activities of tourists.

A team led by Puri DSP examined the Grand Road, Sea beach and various locations following the twin blasts rocked Andhra’s state capital yesterday evening. The death toll rose to 15 and 118 were injured in the incident, which was termed as terror attack.

The security has also been tightened in major towns of Odisha including Bhubaneswar.
