There was a hype of youth leader Pradeep Majhi and he was all set to get the final nod. However, his name was take off the list at the eleventh hour, giving huge disappointment to the people of Odisha.

Srikant Jena, who expected an elevation from the MoS to Cabinet rank, was too left disappointed. His claims were ignored yet again. Neither Bhakta Charan Das nor Hemananda Biswal were considered during the Cabinet Reshuffle.
The Congress cadres and leaders in Odisha were left demoralised and dejected with the latest development. They now feel shy of facing the public in their areas when the BJD accuses the Congress Party of adopting a step-motherly attiude towards Odisha.
