Narendra Modi rules the roost at BJP Conclave
BJP’s poster boy Narendra Modi might not have been invited to the Saints’ meeting held by Viswa Hindu Parishad during Maha Kumbh at Allahabad, but he earned high praise at party’s National Executive Meet. It may upset JDU leaders, who are opposing Modi as NDA’s prime ministerial candidate for the next general elections.
Modi dragged attention of all the senior members of the party with strong words against Nehru-Gandhi family and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, whom he described as a night watchman for the Congress leadership. However, he lauded Prabnab Mukherjee at the meeting. According to him, Pranab could have taken India forward if he would have been PM.
He slammed Congress for playing dynasty politics that is the chief reason for failure of all the developmental programmes and schemes. India could have moved forward, but Congress has no interest to develop the country.
Focusing on the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, the saffron party leader said that BJP could be the only alternative for the country against Congress misrule. He looked confident that BJP will throw Congress out of the Centre to take the country forward. He urged all the BJP members at the concluding session of the three-day meeting to treat the upcoming 2014 polls as a freedom struggle.
