Pujara’s 2nd Test Double Hundred puts India on Top

Cheteshwar Pujara scored his second double hundred in Tests to put India on the top in the second test match against Australia in Hyderabad. India scored 503 in the first innings in reply to Australia’s 237/9.

Pujara scored 204, while Murali Vijay was out for 167. The duo added 370 runs for the second wicket – a record for India. Dhoni scored 44, while Kohli made 34. For Australia, Glenn Maxwell took four wickets on debut. Xavier Doherty took three wickets. James Pattinson took two wickets.

With a 266-run first innings lead on this turning track, Team India is expected to go for a kill and inflict innings defeat on the Kangaroos.
