TNI Bureau: The Indian Tennis has reached a new low, as the All India Tennis Association (AITA) failed to resolve the issues with the regular players led by Somdev Devvarman and picked up a second-string side for the David Cup tie against South Korea to be held on February 1-3, 2013.

The new team comprises of Leander Paes, V.M.Ranjit, Vijayant Malik and Purav Raja. The AITA has refused to budge from its stand and snubbed the eight rebels, including Somdev Devvarman, Yuki Bhambri, Vishnu Vardhan, Divij Sharan and Sanam Singh. The demands of the rebels were:
- Removal of S.P. Misra as the non—playing captain
- New Coach in place of Zeeshan Ali
- Larger share in the prize money
- Air Travel upgradation
