TNI BUREAU: A Brazilian woman named Larissa has responded after learning that her old photo was allegedly used in voter lists during the Haryana elections, reported Indian Express.
The image reportedly appeared in multiple booths, which Congress leader Rahul Gandhi claimed was part of voter fraud that helped the BJP.
Larissa, who once worked as a model and now runs a salon in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, shared a short video on X reacting to the news. Speaking in Portuguese, she said she was surprised to hear about her picture being linked to elections in India. “Friends, I’m going to tell you a joke. They are using an old picture of me. I must have been about 18 or 20 years old… I don’t know if it’s an election, something about voting in India,” she said, laughing.

She added that a reporter had tried to contact her about the issue, even reaching out to her workplace and Instagram account. “Now another person, a friend from another city, sent me a photo saying it’s being used there. I’ll show you the picture,” Larissa said in the video.
Earlier, Rahul Gandhi had accused the Election Commission and the BJP of colluding to manipulate results in Haryana, citing the alleged use of the model’s photograph in ten polling booths. The Election Commission has not yet issued an official response.
