Three Maoists have been gunned down by security forces at Kurumdunguri jungle in Rayagada district of Odisha last night in a combing operation launched by the Special Operations Group (SOG) and District Voluntary Force (DVF).

The exchange of fire between the security forces and Maoists continued for over an hour in which three rebels were killed.
The anti-Maoist operation has been intensified in that area following the combing operation.
