TNI Bureau: If Vidya Balan is the queen of entertainment, Akshay Kumar is a complete hero, who is blessed with an art of playing multiple roles in a film. The actor’s new rough ‘n’ tough avatar in “Rowdy Rathore” will steal all the girls’ hearts.
South star-turned-director Prabhu Deva’s action comedy “Rowdy Rathore” is a dhamaal entertainer, which is full of action, emotions, drama and humour, besides a superlative performance by Akki.
Once again Akki proved that he is the perfect action hero. The film is a remake of the Telugu smash hit ‘Vikramarkudu’ (2006) starring Ravi Teja. It was later remade in Tamil as ‘Siruthai’, in Kannada as ‘Veera Madakari’ and in Bengali as ‘Bikram Singha: The Lion is Back’.
Rowdy Rathore is a replica of ‘Vikramarkudu’. Like WANTED, director Prabhu Deva has retained the originality of Telugu altering slightly in the remake. This is completely a masala film. The role of Akki has larger than life. The character, who triumphs all odds of life with bravery and strength, is challenging.

Akki as Shiva in the film is a thief, who falls in love with Priya (Sonakshi Sinha). He gets confused when the six-year-old Neha enters his life. She believes Shiva to be her father. Even he faces many threats and attacks from criminals without any reason. While trying to save his life, he stumbles upon a secret that takes him to think of the little girl. He moves to a small town in Bihar, which is terrorised by a ruthless man Nassar.
Akshay’s double avatar as a cop and the second one as a petty thief are the perfect imagination by the director. As Shiva, he entertains the masses, and as Vikram Rathod, he is a serious man and honest police officer with different style. Akki will definitely flaunt for each shade of his skill in the movie.
Sonakshi has improved a lot. Her desi girl image suits her. After ‘Dabangg’, there is no looking back for her and she has chosen a perfect film, which will take her to fly high.
Nassar is superb as the antagonist. The child artist portraying as a daughter of Vikram Rathore is a talented baby. Finally the cameo played by hot Kareena Kapoor will receive applauds. The film will be given a big thumb up for its excellent cinematography, dialogues, presentation, costumes, dance, emotions, romance and many more.
