Pyari Under Scanner for alleged Maoist Links
Bhubaneswar: Would it be the turn of Pyari Mohan Mohapatra after Sangram Mohanty and Dandapani Mohanty to be put behind the bars on alleged Maoist links? The political atmosphere in Bhubaneswar has heated up following rumours and speculations on Pyari.
Just five days before his much-awaited Sambalpur rally, Pyari received a big jolt, as Odisha Lok Dal President Dipti Ranjan Mohanty has filed a complaint at the Capital Police Station, alleging links between Pyari Mohan and the Maoists.
Mr. Mohanty argued that since Sangram and Dandapani who were arrested for links with Maoists, Pyari should be arrested and interrogated, as he remained close to the duo. He further said Pyari was instrumental in the mediation of Dandapani Mohanty for the release of Italian tourists.
The police have already started the “investigation” into the complaint. Meanwhile, Pyari Mohan Mohapatra has alleged a political conspiracy to arrest him and warned the government that it would collapse on the day he is arrested.
