TNI Bureau: The dream of people in Odisha is going to become true after a long wait of 3.5 years, as Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh is all set to induct Nabarangpur MP and ‘Youth Icon’ Pradeep Majhi into his Cabinet as a MoS.
The political circle in Delhi is abuzz with the names of Rahul Gandhi’s team, who will definitely make it to the Cabinet expansion to be held on Sunday. They include Meenakshi Natarajan, Pradeep Majhi and Manickam Tagore along with Manish Tewari.

Odisha was by and large ignored by the UPA Government at the centre. In UPA II Cabinet, Srikant Jena is the only face from the state. To add insult to injury, he was given a MoS berth and was forced to work under a junior MK Alagiri. It is expected that Mr. Jena would be elevated to Cabinet rank this time.
Pradeep Majhi, a first-time MP from Nabarangpur, is said to be a close confidante of Rahul Gandhi. He held the Secretary post at the Indian Youth Congress and then served as the Youth Congress President in Odisha for around two years.
When we contacted Mr. Pradeep Majhi, he refused to comment on this development, saying he cannot confirm the news unless he receives a call from the PMO or Rashtrapati Bhawan. He has kept his fingers crossed as of now.
