1) Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has ordered the disbursal of Rs 4,200 crore as crop loans to farmers by July 31 so that they don’t face any difficulties during the Monsoon season.
2) As the first session of 15th Odisha Assembly will begin on June 12, the Council of Ministers of the state will meet on the same day in the morning hours to finalise their strategy. The meeting will be chaired by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
3) The Orissa High Court has stayed the State Administrative Tribunal (SAT) decision, which quashed the appointment of 378 Odisha Civil Service (OCS) cadres in 2010 on the ground that such appointments were illegal and not as per the terms of the advertisement.
4) The Odisha BJP has deferred the meeting of its Legislature Party, which was supposed to be held tomorrow. The decision was taken due to the unavailability of Union Minister Prakash Javadekar, who is unavailable on June 11 due to some other engagements.
