Bhubaneswar, Jan 25: A long span of 22 years working untiringly in the field of cultural development, social service, people oriented activities, the leading Cultural Association of the state Niladrivihar Youth & Cultural Association (NYCA) paid rich tributes to the martyrs of Pathankot and Boipariguda while holding its annual general body meeting to discuss the year round activities.
In the beginning of the meeting held in the premises of Lord Ishaneswar Temple a deep tribute has been paid to the martyrs of Pathankot and Baipariguda. The members call on the youths to fight against the outside sources those who hampering the peace and progress of the nation.
Along with this the members shows their deep concern over the non-availability photo & information of martyrs of Baipariguda in the website and urged the state govt. to think about this. After like every year the new office bearers for the year 2016-17 were nominated by the process of selection like the previous practice of the association, where Dr. Prakash Chandra Panigrhi–President, Narayan Pratap Ray–Vice-President, Biswajit Pattnaik-General Secretary, Ramesh Chandra Mohanty–Asst. secretary, Kumar Barik–Cultural Secretary, Bata Krushna Panda–Sports Secretary, Prakash Chandra Sahoo–Treasurer, Pradeep Kumar Swain–Coordinator were selected as the office bearers and Gadadhar Prasd Rath, Madan Mohan Prusty, Gyanendra Mohapatra, Suresh Kumar Dash, Sishir Kumar Moharana, Umesh Chandra Ojha , Sukanta Ku. Rout, Kailash Chandra Sahoo and Pramesh Kumar Sahoo were selected as the Executive Body members.

In order to look after the smooth conduct of the future activities of the Association and the Silver Jublee preparation to be held in 2018 Social Worker Shri Abhaya kumar Samantray, Shri Chandra Sekhar Pati, Shri Gyan Ranjan Nayak, Shri Akshya Kumar Pradhan, Advocate Shri Manmohan Pattnaik Renowned Producer & Director Shri Sabyasachi Mohapatrawere nominated to the Advisory body. It is also unanimously decided to hold the Annual Function of the association & Jatra Feast in the month of May.
Running the association for more than 2 decades with the discipline and brotherhood and earning the name and fame in the locality as well as in the state and most widely known for not being tolerate any indiscipline activities the association after a long deliberation lifted the suspension from 2 members out of 4 suspended for indiscipline activities last year and suspends another 3 members and served so cause to one for the hampering the dignity of the association and the members also resolved that no indiscipline activities to be tolerated in future.
At last 25 odd renowned personalities related to the film & jatra industries along with the some dedicated youths of the locality joins the association and were welcomed by the members. The meeting ended with vote of thanks to the chair.
