KISS to begin Operation in Delhi
The Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) will begin its operation in Delhi from the current academic session. An MoU has been signed in this regard in the presence of Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit and KISS Founder Dr. Achyuta Samanta.
The agreement was signed between Principal Secretary, Department of Welfare of SC/ST/OBC/Minorities Lalmalsawma and Secretary of KISS RN Dash. The academic session will start from August 2013 with 1,200 children belonging to SC, ST, minorities and other underprivileged sections of the society.
The KISS in Delhi will impart education under CBSE syllabus. The Delhi Government has allotted about 20 acres of land with two lakh sq. ft. built-up space at Issapur in Najafgarh area. Since it will be a no-profit, no-loss school, all recurring and non-recurring cost of the Delhi branch will be borne by Delhi Government.
