After taking over as the Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) chief, Jayadev Jena has sought to score a point over his rivals by touching the nerves of the people in distress. Under his leadership, the Congress Party has decided to open legal assistance cells for all Chit Fund victims across the state.
The assistance cells will come up at all block and district headquarters from the second week of July. The party will hire lawyers to give all type of legal aid to the needy people, who were cheated by chit fund companies such as AT, SeaShore, Sharada Group, Green Ray, Mid East and Astha.
Mr. Jena also alleged that many BJD leaders and cadres are involved in the Rs 2,000 crore chit fund scam in Odisha. He vowed to take the battle to its logical conclusion and get justice to the people.
