“Jail Bharo Andolan” from May 27: BJP
Newly appointed Office bearers of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Odisha under the leadership of Kanak Bardhan Singh Deo today have a meeting in the Party Office in Bhubaneswar. This is the first ever meeting after KB Singh Deo took charge of state BJP unit.
While talking to TNI, senior BJP leader Sajjan Kumar said, “the main issue for the meeting is to organise Jail Bharo Andolan from May 27 across the state protesting against the Union Government and the State Government for wide range of corruption charges.”
“After the appointment of KB Singh Deo as the party President, an environment of enthusiasm among all the workers of the party is doubled to work hard and reach out to the people for BJP’s campaigns”, Kumar added.
Jail Bharo Andolan is a method of protesting where the protesters voluntarily let themselves get arrested in order to fill the jails of the authority.
However, it is remain to see how the BJP’s “Jail Bharo Andolan” will impress the people of Odisha before the 2014 election.
