BPIA-Bhubaneswar conducts ‘Basic Cargo Awareness Programme’
Airports Authority of India, Bhubaneswar Airport conducted “basic cargo awareness programme” as a part of skill development for cargo handling at Biju Patnaik International Airport on Friday. The programme was attended by airline representatives, officials from the trade cargo handling agencies and officials from other departments.
The said programme highlighted the air cargo activities, the different kinds of cargo handled, the type and mode of handling cargo by the airlines, cargo handlers and other agencies at the airport and also necessary precautions, safety and security measures to be taken while loading/unloading of the cargo from the aircraft.
Giving the feedback on the programme, all participants appreciated the presentation was very useful, knowledgeable to know how to handle both domestic and international cargo and their requirements. Such kind of presentations the participants stated, increase the awareness of the users of the cargo trade for safety and security of the cargo movement.
