Coldwave grips Kandhamal District in Odisha
TNI Bureau: Just ahead of Diwali celebrations, intense coldwave conditions prevailed in Odisha’s Kandhamal and Keonjhar districts. The mercury level dipped in both districts, hinting at a chilled weather in the coming weeks.
Phulbani recorded 8.4 degrees Celsius on Sunday, while Keonjhar recorded 9.3 degrees Celsius. Mercury dipped to below 3 degrees Celsius in Daringbadi area.
Coldwave have started to hit other regions in Odisha too. Even Capital Bhubaneswar recorded two to three degrees drop in temperature in the last couple of days. Other districts such as Koraput, Balangir, Sambalpur, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi and Rayagada also recorded below than normal temperature.
