Bollywood prays for Dara Singh
TNI Bureau: Now Bollywood prays for Dara Singh. The strong man Dara Singh, who happens to be a top actor of the yesteryears, was admitted to the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital last Saturday. His condition is still critical.
The actor has been visited by many Bollywood biggies including actors Dharmendra, Om Puri, producer and actor Farah Khan, Comedian Raju Shrivastaba and others. Ailing Singh’s son Bindu Dara Singh, who is also a Bollywood actor who has done few films, informed that his father’s condition is still critical and the best doctors are doing their level best and people should pray for his recovery.
Dharmendra said “He is my darling brother. Let’s pray for him.”
Farah khan said, “I want to remember Dara uncle as a robust fighter, healthy and strong. So, I didn’t go inside to see him but I met his family and came back.”
The wrestler-turned-actor Dara Singh is now undergoing dialysis. His condition has not deteriorated and he is holding up, but he requires a high dose of medication. The problem he came up with during hospitalization has now affected his kidneys. His kidneys are not functioning the way they should – a doctor informed.
Dara Singh was a top actor of his time. Starting his career from 1960 he has performed in films like “Watan Se Door”, “Rustom-e-Baghdad”, “Sher Dil”, “Sikandare- Azam”, “Ham Sab Ustaad Hai”, “Raaka”, “Mera Naam Joker” and “Dharam Karam”, “Mard”, “Kal Ho Na Ho”. He was last seen in ‘Jab We Met”.
The actor had also appeared in TV series and best known for his portrayal as ‘Hanuman’ in ‘Ramayana’ and some films. He had won the title of Rustam-e-Hind for his wrestling ability.
