TNI Bureau: At least seven people were killed and 30 others were injured when a truck overturned at Malagaon under Chandahandi block of Nabarangpur district. The injured have been admitted to Chandhandi Hospital.

The truck carried mostly the wedding party members who were returning after attending a marriage in Bariguda. They were coming from Kalahandi. At least 50 members were on board when the incident took place.
Some of the injured were shifted to Dharmagarh and Bhawanipatna hospitals. According to reports, the driver of the truck was heavily drunk and lost the balance, resulting in the accident. A two-year-old baby girl had a miraculous escape. She did not sustain any injuries.
