Omicron Cases in Odisha

In the biggest jump so far, Odisha on Wednesday reported 24 new Omicron cases, taking the total tally of the new variant of coronavirus to 61.

Odisha has reported 23 new Omicron cases, which took the State tally to 37. Around 50% of the total new cases are said to be local contacts.

One more person who returned to Odisha from foreign country was found to be infected with the omicron variant of Covid-19, informed Director of Institute Of Life Sciences.

With elections coming up in various states, political parties seem to have flung themselves into first gear and taken to the streets to the campaign.

Odisha has reported four more Omicron cases, taking the number of new variant cases to 8. They are said to be stable.
