TNI Bureau: In a shocking development, leading Odia Daily, ‘The Samaja’ listed Subas Gond as the Congress probable from Umerkote for 2014 assembly polls. That has become a hot discussion in Umerkote area.
While talking to various local reporters in the area, The News Insight learnt that there is no other Congress leader namely Subas Gond in Umerkote area, who has the stature to get the Congress ticket. There is only Subas Gond, who is the BJD MLA. He had won the bypolls, which were held after the shocking killing of Jagabandhu Majhi.

Subas Gond was the key aide of late Jagabandhu Majhi and had been with him through the thick and thin. Nobody is willing to believe that Subas Gond will join the Congress. When we talked to him, he rubbished the reports and said it could be a mistake made by the people at The Samaja, who prepared the list. The Congress Party has already rubbished the report and list, saying these are nothing but mere speculations.
We talked to The Samaja Editorial Group on this regard. They admitted that the list had some errors and they would come up with the revised list very soon.
