Chandan Mitra appointed as Odisha BJP In-Charge
BJP president Rajnath Singh appointed senior party leader Chandan Mitra as party in-charge of Odisha. He will replace Santosh Gangwar. Similarly, Arun Singh has been appointed as the state’s co-in-charge. He will assist Mr Mitra in the party work.
The changes came two months after KV Singhdeo took over the charge as the state BJP chief ahead of the next general polls.
Similarly, Party leader Dharmendra Pradhan has been appointed as the party in-charge of Bihar, while former Odisha BJP chief Jual Oram was the new chief of the party’s Scheduled Tribe (ST) morcha. Party’s General Secretary Amit Shah has been made in-charge of Uttar Pradesh, Rajiv Pratap Rudy was the in- charge of Maharashtra and Ananth Kumar has been appointed as the in-charge of Madhya Pradesh.
