The 30-share BSE Sensex rose 180 points or 0.34 per cent to close at 52,974, while the broader NSE Nifty moved 60 points or 0.38 per cent up to settle at 15,842.

Cryptocurrency traded in the red on May 12, 2022 and the global crypto market cap decreased 13.2% in a day, currently standing at $1.23 trillion.

The NSE Nifty 50 index dropped 2.22 per cent or 359.10 to close at 15,808 and the S&P BSE Sensex fell 2.14 per cent or 1,158.08 to 52,930.31.
