Another Cyclone heading towards Odisha!
After the Cyclone Phailin, which caused devastation in Odisha, particularly in the Ganjam district, another cyclone Helen hit the Andhra Pradesh coast last night, but spared Odisha. However, if we believe Mr. Surendra Nath Pashupalak of Agro-Meteorology department of Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT), the threat is still looming large over Odisha, as yet another cyclone may hit the state by November 28.
Another low pressure situation has been created in the Bay of Bengal, which may move in the North-Western direction after moving Westwards initially. It may result in a Cyclonic Storm and could make the landfall near Vizag in Andhra Pradesh on November 28.
The impact of this cyclonic storm could be felt in the Coastal Odisha too. North Odisha may witness light rains. But, the South and Coastal Odisha may see heavy rains and gusty winds. The picture is still not clear whether the storm will cause any damage in Odisha or not. It will be known only after the next 48 hours.
