Pakistani landmines found on Indian Side of LoC

TNI Bureau: Amidst the tension between India and Pakistan over the killing of two Indian soldiers at the Line of Control, India’s Army Chief General Bikram Singh rejected Pakistan’s allegations that India had violated ceasefire and killed a Pak soldier. He alleged that Pakistani troops had planted landmines on Indian side of LoC.

Talking to reporters today, General Singh said that Pakistani soldier was killed Kundi during exchange of firing at the LoC. But Indian army had not crossed the LoC. The Pakistani troops violated ceasefire, he added.

Meanwhile, Indian army released some pictures of Pakistani landmines as the evidence that were found on the Indian side of the LoC. The landmines were manufactured at Pakistan Ordinance Factory and the pictures were given to Pakistan during the Brigadier-level flag meet on Monday afternoon.

India blamed Pakistan at the United Nations saying its neighbouring country has been supporting to the terror groups like Lashkar-e-Toiba and Jamaat-ud-Dawa.

The revelation came a day after Pakistani Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar talked tough against India saying there is “war mongering coming from across the border.”

The tension between two countries erupted after the killing of Lance Naik Hemraj Singh and Lance Naik Sudhakar Singh at LoC on January 8.
