TNI Bureau: US President Donald Trump on Friday made a series of dramatic claims regarding Iran, maritime security in the Gulf region, and alleged nuclear-related understandings, triggering intense international attention.
In a lengthy statement posted on social media, Trump asserted that Iran “must agree” never to possess a nuclear weapon or bomb. He further claimed that the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz would be immediately reopened for unrestricted global shipping traffic in both directions without tolls or barriers.
According to Trump, underwater mines in the region had either already been removed or would soon be neutralized through coordinated operations involving American underwater mine sweepers. He also stated that vessels stranded due to what he described as an “unprecedented Naval Blockade” would now be allowed to return home safely.
The US President made another sensational assertion regarding what he called “Nuclear Dust” buried beneath collapsed mountains allegedly caused by a B2 bomber strike nearly 11 months ago. Trump claimed that the United States, working alongside China, Iran, and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), would supervise the excavation and destruction of the material.
He further declared that no financial transactions involving Iran would take place “until further notice,” while indicating that several additional issues of “far less importance” had already been resolved.
Donald Trump concluded by saying he was heading to a Situation Room meeting to make a “final determination,” suggesting that critical diplomatic or military decisions could be imminent.
