After Delhi Gangrape, Shame continues in India

Date:

TNI Bureau: There is no end to crime against women and the shame continues in India. While the country is outraged demanding strong laws that would protect women, two rape cases reported in Haryana and Ahmedabad recently. While an engineering student raped his classmate in Kurukshetra in Haryana, the brother-in-law of a 13-year-old girl and his friend gangraped her in Ahmedabad.

The minor girl attempted suicide by consuming poison after she was gangraped for over a period of four days. Now she is battling for life in a hospital. Meanwhile, another incident occurred in Haryana. An engineering student was raped by her classmate while returning home.

These two incidents came as shocker when the country is pouring tear over the death of the 23-year-old gangrape victim, who took her last breathe at Singapore’s Mount Elizabeth hospital on December 29 night.

Even the nationwide protests could not stop the heinous crime as more than 25 such cases were reported in different areas of the country during over two weeks.
