According to an official order issued after a preliminary inquiry, SI Sameer Kumar Rout of Kabisuryanagar Police Station, ASI Baikuntha Jena of Balichhai Outpost and Constable (C/58) Suman Kumar Sahu have been placed under suspension with immediate effect pending further investigation.

The order also stated that Home Guard Krushna Chandra Pradhan, who was serving as a driver, will not be assigned any duty and steps have been initiated for his disengagement from the Home Guard organisation.

To ensure a fair and impartial inquiry, the Ganjam SP has been directed to transfer all personnel posted at Kabisuryanagar Police Station and Balichhai Outpost to other police subdivisions. Further criminal or departmental action will be taken based on the findings of the ongoing investigation.
