Jyotiraditya Scindia – Saviour of Congress in MP!

Date:

The ‘Royal’ and Union Minister of State for Power, Jyotiraditya Scindia has emerged as a saviour for the depleted Congress Party in Madhya Pradesh, which is fighting a losing battle against the Shivraj Singh Chouhan-led BJP government. An aggressive and stubdonpato Scindia, who took over as the Campaign Committee Chief of the Congress in MP, has vowed to uproot the BJP from the state.

Jyotiraditya-ScindiaThe ground reality may be something different, as opinion polls suggest a clear mandate for Shivraj Singh Chouhan to win the state for a record third time in a row, but Scindia has refused to give up. He has challenged the BJP government in Madhya Pradesh to fight the polls on ‘development of poor’ plank.

Scindia has been more vocal in support of Rahul Gandhi than any other youth leaders. He believes that India will progress under the leadership of Rahul, as the latter cares about the poor and needy people. In his election speeches in Madhya Pradesh, Jyotiraditya talks about UPA government’s welfare schemes and policies and Rahul’s contribution to those.

Whatever may be the outcome of 2013 Assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh, one is certain that the old guards in MP Congress have been pushed to the corner and Jyotiraditya Scindia is the new face, who may or may not change the political scenario in the state immediately, but he will be here to stay and lead the Congress in future.
