Pakistan “condemns” Killing of its Jawan at LoC

Date:

TNI Bureau: Pakistan army condemned the killing of one of its soldiers by Indian troops near the Line of Control (LoC), describing as the “inhuman and brutal killing”. However, Indian army has returned the body of the soldier after the request made by Pakistan army.

Pakistani military said that Sepoy Ikhlaq had lost his way and crossed the LoC “inadvertently” in Khoi Ratta sector. The civilians were the witness while he was questioned by Indian troops.

Pak Army officials said that even though the soldier had given his identity and explained how he crossed the LoC, the India army did not show any mercy and killed him brutally.

Batting for Pak’s past action, the army said that they had returned Indian soldiers who had inadvertently crossed the LoC. But India ignored everything and killed Pak solder.

Pakistani foreign ministry also condemned the killing, saying that the incident may vitiate the atmosphere while both sides had agreed to maintain good relationship.

Meanwhile, the body of the soldier has been returned to the Pakistani authorities during a flag meeting in Laam Sector on Friday.

In response to Pak Army’s statement, the Indian Army said that they opened fire after detecting some suspicious movement near the LoC inside Indian Territory. The army did not know that the soldier was Pakistani.
