TNI Bureau: Spiritual leader Swami Kamlananda Bharati was arrested for his controversial remarks against Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi, who faced criticism for his alleged hate speech against a particular community in Hyderabad.

The spiritual Guru was arrested by Hyderabad police for his speech at a rally at Srisailam in Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh.

Swami Kamlananda Bharati is the President of Hindu Devalaya Parirakshana Samithi. The organisation is known for fighting for protecting Hindu temples.

Bharati’s remarks came after Owaisi was criticised for his hate speech against Hindus. Owaisi is currently lodged in Nirmala police custody at Adilabad District.
