TNI Bureau: Despite India’s summon to Pakistan against ceasefire violation along the Line of Control (LoC), its neighbouring country wants to internationalise Kashmir issue denying its role in Indian soldiers’ deaths. The dirty diplomacy of Pakistan came to light after Pakistan’s foreign secretary Jalil Abbas Jilani on Friday briefed European envoys on the situation along LoC.

Jilani also met the US Ambassador Richard Olson to discuss the issue. Denying Pakistan’s role in Indian soldiers’ deaths, it urged the UN to probe the brutal killing of the two Indian soldiers. The country also said that the envoys of the US and European countries were concerned about the current situation along LoC.

However, India reiterated that it was capable of resolving the issue bilaterally and again rejected the role of any third party.

Reacting to India’s response, Jilani summoned the Indian High Commissioner Sharat Sabharwal to the foreign office and asked about the repeated, unacceptable and unprovoked attacks on Pakistani soldiers by the Indian army.

In order to hide its own fault, Pakistan summoned the Indian diplomat for second time, twice within a week to build a pressure on India. Earlier, India’s deputy high commissioner Gopal Bagley was summoned.

Alleging India to fire on their armies, Pakistan also asked India to thoroughly investigate the repeated violations of the ceasefire along the LoC by the Indian troops.

The diplomatic war between two countries erupted after two Indian soldiers were killed brutally while patrolling in Poonch area on January 8. The Pak troops took away the chopped head of one soldier, showing extreme anger against India. The dead jawans were identified as Lance Naik Hemraj and Lance Naik Sudhakar Singh. According to intelligence sources, some Pakistani Army officers celebrated after the killing of Indian soldiers.
